My Maudlin Career "Holiday Edition"

I'm new here, but I have been a fan for a long time. My girlfriend found me a nice present, it s the "Holiday Edition" of My Maudlin Career. What maks it special is that it comes with The Blizzard cd, which was shrink-wrapped to the regualr cd. It is just the one track, in a picture card sleeve. I am guessing this might be what they sold on the US tour.

Why are the promo cd singles going for such a huge amount on ebay? I have bought such things (both for reasonable and crazy prices), but the Camera Obscur promos never got into the crazy category until the past few months it seems. Perhaps the obsessives inceased in number. I feel fortunate that I was able to get a lot of releases as they happened.

As far as I know, this version is only at Amazon.com. I just checked and it said it will be available January 3rd. They must have run out of the stocl they had from a few weeks ago.
