number one son-camera obscura(peel session)
this first session for john peel is outstanding,i pick this of the four....i coulda picked any of the other three....this song though is an amazing bit of writing,sometimes,when a tune is so good you can lose the lyric....the words in this are fantastic..........so many great lines just thrown and left..........amazing......

These guys were on Conan last night, first time I've heard of them: Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros
The sound is pretty classic Blues, but catchy and WOAH! Two drummers! You gots to have skillz to do that.
The "hobo hipster" attire is laid on a little thick but they play amazingly well nonetheless, and Sharpe's voice is immediately accessible.

i'm a pretty big fan of all things simon n garfunkel.. this is another heavily influenced by S&G tune although i didnt care for his new album that much.. luke doucet's magpie...

was randomly browsing for CO posts today and came across this pleasant tune by Cats Eyes.. the blogger compares her vocals to TAC which i dont entirely agree with but they are nice..

always looking for "new" stuff even when its just new-to-me.. came across this band on elefant site and am a bit obsessed with em lately - i do remember them vaguely from the late 80s but didnt realize they got back together.. some excellent little-known covers on the latest release..
hope some others here will post their likes as that helps the rest of us (or maybe just me!) find some good stuff
