I was so conflicted with this. I actually did place a few bids on Kenny's Jazzmaster (but wasn't the successful bidder).
So torn. It went for more than the guitar by itself was worth, but for what it was worth in terms of what that guitar means, both to Kenny himself and to a hard core fan of the band, I think it should've gone for more.
I had to atleast bit on it though, imagine winning that!
I can't imagine selling that guitar though after going through so much with it, all those albums, shows, tours...
I'd already thought about what my thing would be if I'd won it.
Essentially I'd have left it open to sell the guitar back for what I'd paid for it at any time, should he decide he needed it again..
Moot point now ofcourse.
