| Cover of the Richard Hawley song, not released until 17 May - played on Marc Riley, Thursday's (15 April) 6music show.
It comes in at 1:41:25

ENJOY!
(My thanks to the lovely Christine - isn't it nice when people contact you to tell you about such things: "Oh, they're your wee band aren't they?")

| No what ? I'll stick my neck out, I'm not sure this CO single is really that good and I think its the vocals that don't work for me ! Maybe it will grow, but I don't think it suits TAC's vocal. | |

| i`ve heard it once meself....so can`t pass judgement although i`ll buy it anyway,it may even be blind loyalty if i dont enjoy it...but very much mirroring what tracyanne said about sales..its nice to support them over the counter........to be honest i haven`t really listened to the last two 7"........... | |

| I haven't heard it myself....gonna wait til I can get it for realsies. But I gotta take Graeme's side on this one... after that interview, hey I don't care if Tracyanne just farts into a microphone I'm gonna buy it to support them. In fact there's two EP's I still need to pick up, Sweetest Thing and Hey Lloyd EP's... I was going to get them on eBay, now I'm going direct through the C/O store, even though it'll be double the price. Also, my Maudlin LP accidentally got played when there were piles of dust on it, and all the pops and crackles got burnt into the vinyl permanantly - so I think I'll buy a new Maudlin as well. | |

| i tend to throw them all on a blank disc an listen as an album myself - that way i can mix up the remixes and dont hear the same song 5 times in a row.. i would tend to agree with ya both on this tune... i mean, i like it but I'm not sure if its just cause i love the band so much. i even like Richard Hawley but maybe i wouldve picked a different tune... or maybe my expectations for this fantastic band put unrealistic hopes on this single.. whatever, it'll be in my collection regardless | |

| i`m not sure if i`d buy tracyanne flatulating like(unless it was a jim noir remix) but i`ve got a 7" rack with 36 slots which will be filled with C/O/G.H.T.G/B&S Vinyl eventually and its a nice thing....erm as for choice of song,i am a fan of coles corner so bond under a bad sign would have bin better for me............but still and Fan Clubs..whats all this??Your not a Teenager(fan club)so dont act like one......... | |

| I have all Hawleys CD's and obviously rate him. As does my Dad, Sister, Best mates etc after me offering my CD's after they heard the stuff back here, and after half an hour of background listening, piping up "Who's that your playing ? .. I really like that !" and thus having to continually replace the CD's. No problem whatsoever, I get a great deal of joy when people get a kick out of anything I'm playing, and its a great feeling when they kinda vindicate your musical taste .. if you know what I mean ? Its great finding music that gives you that hair on the back of the neck feeling, even better when you get uncontrollable tears of joy at something that just makes you feel overwhelmed. So I am known for handing over a bunch of CD's, but having said that, no one will get their hands on my Rare UK Bird I agree with the supporting the band issue, I've bought all the CD's and promos now. No Mugs, Shopping bags or T'shirt yet All I was saying was ... I'm not convinced this has ben a great choive to suit TAC's vocal. And it is only 1 song outta the whole lot they have recorded/played, just the first time I've been slightly meh | |

| i only really looked Hawley up after hearing about the upcoming CO single but i am really liking him - i think my expectations were high as i said but as i go thru the songbook, can't help but imagine the early CO (like UK bird era) singin "just like the rain".. hell, it coulda been one of their tracks! maybe Nights are cold just speaks to Tracyanne and Carey and they HAD to get a tribute out... it certainly is a fantastic track. - Pete wrote:

i know exactly what yer saying.. i LOVE it when people like the music i like (sadly doesnt happen all that often!) and i have done exactly what you did givin cds away and havin to buy em again.. i have promoted this band above all others tho and have made mixes and emailed mp3s all to get them to see what i see in this beautiful group... so far, its worked! both my mum and mother-in-law adore them, a few fellow firefighters as well and, most recently, my 14-year-old nephew.. wide range of ages and a few had NO interest in "pop" music (or what they thought was pop music).. its fun and very gratifying converting people to it! i even made a few recommends at the local library and they now have Maudlin and ordered LGOOTC (since Maudlin has been checked out several times).. now if only i could get em some local radio play but alas, the stations here suck big-time and love to repeat the same "hit" song 13 times a day instead of trying something new.. ah well

i'd love to get some stuff too but havent yet as i have only been to Maudlin shows (was slow to find out that they toured here prior to that) and most of the stuff aint to my tastes.. i have tried to get a few tour posters on ebay (ug) and other online places but i may end up making something myself with album covers and such... sorta like what someone here did with that collage i guess. bolony

| haven't bought them yet, but once i have some spendin money i plan to grab the ye olde camera mug off the official store, + the t-shirt with the keyboard on it. just spent my swag money on a zvg t-shirt though, and c/o's shop is way more expensive. oddly enough, they didn't have any memorabilia at the iowa city show. there was a table with all the CD's on it and all the LP's (except bbhf of course), which of course, i (and everybody else here) already have. oh well | |

Cheers Tony btw ;) I get ya xx. At some point in history, Andmoresound pressed a Hi-Fi vinyl. Graeme and I have seen it go for $100+ on ebay, usually coming out of Japan. Just goes to show that if the band did decide to reissue it, there'd be hoards of folks willing to pay top dollar to get it. For somebody so concerned about selling more records (re: recent tracyanne interview), I can't really understand why they don't start pushing out their back catalog of tunes. I don't know, maybe it's a legal rights thing, maybe they just don't want to associate themselves with that era anymore. Whatevs. (If you do find it Mr Pete or Mr Tony, Graeme and I might have a private bidding war to see who you send it off to. LOL. Thanks for looking out though, much appreciated!) Tony don't you have some little chidlins to stick C/O t-shirts on? I'm thinking of fathering some kiddos for that purpose entirely. Carey thinks it's a good idea at least.... but of course she probably just wants to sell some t-shirts. That sly devil.

i do indeed have 3 lil'uns and wanted to buy one of the nice swan shirts at the last show i went to but they only had larger sizes this time.. i'll see in NY - maybe the booth will have more in it.. i'd also like to pick up a few of the singles i'm missing... they had several at the first show in June but only newer ones at the second show when i had more cash to burn... and of course, i'd LOVE a tour poster of some kind - still don't have any yet and i got this whole room i'm sitting in to fill! may end up stealin one off a wall (if its not locked like last time!)

| The main difference between the CD and vinyl is that some day soon I'll have to spend a good amount of money to get Let's go bowling and Shine like a new pin on vinyl.
The 3 of you need to get your pretty hands on BBHI!! I'll keep you posted if I see it around. I must admit I've been lucky on that one.
