World Cafe Empty

It's on the official website but I thought I'd repost it anyway.

World Cafe is one of my all-time favorite NPR programs, so I'm most certainly going to be taping it off the FM (and subsequently transferring to digital). Wish there was a better audio source, but even if the show gets played on satellite radio, it won't be any better quality than the stream NPR.org will publish, so I'll probably post the FM rips on dime when the time comes.

The show is on npr's website right now. Don't hold your breath for my recording, unless I can fix my reel-to-reel before Saturday evening I won't be able to get it. I might not even be home (it's very likely).

An odd twist, Nigel is there, but playing bells and not trumpet. Lawl...
Fantastic version of False Contender and Tracy (the interviewer) gets some pretty personal information out of Tracyanne. I've finally figured out a ballpark of how old she is. :D

Word to the audiophiles, the recording of the show that plays through NPR's player is much better sounding than the mp3 available for download. Some very obvious compression artifacts pop up in the downloaded version.

Edit: I just took some parts out of my post to reflect that this interview/performance is from 2006, and promoting Let's Get Out Of This Country.
What??? It took three years for World Cafe to broadcast it??????

ANOTHER Edit: The link C/O posted on their website is olllllld. There's a new one, which they linked from twitter. Disregard all previous comments...

In the new interview Tracyanne admits she loves Led Zeppelin. Both me and the interviewer started laughing at that point...
