Could I even dare to speak about them ?

There is one or two albums that I play very occasionally ? listen to and kinda like, they are uncool here in the UK, but a good song is good song ?

I really like the covers album for some reason, there is some songs that do get above KOOL, for being so unKOOL. Very Happy

But I kinda like these covers, "Blitzkrieg Bop" and really like their track "This ole Skin"

They became huge chart toppers over here. Graeme mentioned Paul Heatons first band, The Housemartins, they were a great band with two decent albums in hindsight.

The 'South were maybe regarded as a bit lightweight main stream pop, so although very popular, I think a few discerning indie hipsters would have maybe turned their nose up. Don't know if thats me being fair Graeme ? For me though, I always found their stuff more clever than the sum of its parts. I love some of the tunes, infectious pop gems, and I love the interplay call and response with the various girl singers. Some of the lyrics were quite risque - Perfect 10 Very Happy

Housemartins
