| It's Saturday morning and I'm kicking back on the couch with a hot chocolate and Desire Lines spinning on the turntable. No biggie... | |

| Me neither, I'd say I listen to it on average twice a day. I remember being pretty disappointed with Do It Again when they first dropped that. Dunno why. This weekend I was sitting on the couch with my guitar, working out some of the songs on the album. That was pretty fun. Love Kenny's playing. Can't believe they relegate him to playing triangle for a song on the last tour. What the fuck's that about? Get that other guy to play the triangle! | |

| that other guy...hahahaha.....I`d like a copy of your chords...for a few of the songs...although TAC plays simple chords and you can see a lot on the webcasts...she seems to lean on certain chords for albums(these`s a lot of Dm ,E, Am And Em going on in this album) with the usual F#m.... | |

| Cool, I should see what I can come up with. I was mainly trying to work out Kenny's guitar lines. Stuff like Troublemaker and Do It Again. Simple but fun to play stuff. Next evening I get home alone I might try to nail the solo to Fifth In Line as well. If folk are keen we could have a CO guitar thread, and see what stuff we can work out. TAC, stuff would be pretty easy, I've never been fond of using capos though, which she's a huge user of (I wonder if she'll ever use that epiphone again, I like that guitar alot more than her new tele, though I guess the tele as a smaller guiatr is easier on the pregnant woman?). Was cool to see her playing a melody line on Every Weekday.
Kenny's stuff would be the tricky stuff (for me atleast) to work out. Being primarily a bass player, the shapes he uses are a bit unfamiliar, but what a great guitarist to learn off.

| Also just wondering: has anyone pumped this forum on the CO facebook page? There's some great resources here and it's really well setup for folk to come on over and join in... | |

| I generally try to pick out whatever song is playing if I'm on the couch with a guitarw. The guitar like to Lloyd is another fun one. I might have to go andcheck out some of those tabs and see how that stuff goes. I very nearly bought a Jazzmaster last year on account of J Mascis, Kenny, Kevin Shields, and Stephen Malkmus, but when I was in the store trying out guitars, it lost out to a Gretsch that sounded better. One of these days though... I like to think the Dot will make a comeback at some point. It's nice to have and play new guitars, but nothing liek going back to an instrument you've bonded with as well. | |

| Heh:) That's an intersting guitar that guy's playing. Like one of the one of the new budget/stripped back Jazzmasters without the switching circuit up top, no trem, and some different pickups? Different to the Jazzmasters I'm used to seeing. Especially without the trem! I couldn't imagine buying a guitar with no trem! I use tremolo units alot. My main guitars have bigsbys:) | |

| weve been talkin bout this tonight,my mate came over and he banged out a load of early REM and replacements....a friend of a friend died and left bout 120 vintage guitars that have gone to auction....ranging from £100 to £15000...I couldn`t talk meself into another guitar,i don't use the ones I have already..in sayin that if I was to buy anything it`d be a gretsch bigsby for bout £500 new...........
this is the link, the lad who died was 47-48 a lot of stuff to be packed into a little house in Liverpool and puts some perspective on collectin too much stuff(there isn`t that much vintage like)

| Far out, that's insane!!!! I reckon if you had to restrict yourself to gear from that collection, you could still do pretty sweet. That 60's Jazzmaster is pretty nice. Some nice old basses in there! What was his deal, do you know? Was he professional at some stage? Having the hiwatt in a roadcase seems pretty pro. Definitely puts my collection of 3 guitars, 2 basses, 3 amps, 2 synths, a drumkit, and a bunch of pedals into perspective, for sure! | |
