Underachievers Please Try Harder 10 Years Old

Per the band's facebook page, the album Underachievers Please Try Harder is now 10 years old.  I think this CO's most underrated album. Does not get the press as their other albums.  My favorite song from the album is Books Written For Girls. What is your favorite song from the album?

i too love this album and Books is a fantastic tune.. my favourite has to be Suspended tho.. i can relate so easily to it maybe! my wife and i even got them to play it when we saw them in NYC. we went to the ice cream social and chatted with the band afterwards and requested Suspended - big surprise the next night at the show, they played it and Traceyanne looked at us and said here's the one you requested. imagine a band actually remembering one of the thousands of faces in the crowd to give a shout-out?! my wife and i were duly impressed! so - its still my favourite!

I think Lunar Sea would be my fav off this album.

Nice story, Tony.  I have never met the band but I have heard and seen that they are a nice and down to earth bunch.  Would have been interesting to see what would have happened if John Henderson stayed in the band.  Does anyone know if John has done anything else musically?

I've never had any luck finding anything on him post CO. I guess he's rattling around somewhere doing something.

I wonder if there's any regrets on his part? I guess sure, there hasn't been any big money, but there's been some beautiful albums.
It's a subjective thing ofcourse but me personally, I far prefer their output post Henderson, Campbell's songwriting really seems to have come into it's own on the subsequent albums. Whether this would've happened if he was still there or not, who knows, I'd like to think so. BUt perhaps there wouldn't have been as much room for it to happen, maybe not as much impetus for it to happen?
This is all pure speculation though.

I wonder if there's any bad blood? I got the impression the split wasn't pretty or amicable?

I'm at work and listening to all the CO albums back to back. Upto Underacheivers at the moment. First time I've listened to this album from start to finish for a while.
These earlier albums aren't my faves but I enjoyed BBHF buch more than I remembered, hoping I'll have the same outcome with this album too, maybe discover some new faves:)
