| I'm starting this thread because Pete told Tony to.
Anyway, these are the albums I listened to most this month...mostly different from my all time top ten, as already mentioned. Ones near the top have been losing rotation points as the month closes... I guess this is more, "top ten artists" than "albums", but in some cases it is that specific
The Shins - Wincing The Night Away Jim Noir - Tower Of Love Belle & Sebastian - entire catalog (but I've been listening to mostly EPs) Teenage Fanclub - Man-made All The Go Away Birds EPs (i'm making an allowance since they don't have an actual LP and probably never will) Camera Obscura - Mostly My Maudlin Career but the whole catalog God Help The Girl (including Stills) Spoon - Girls Can Tell and Kill The Moonlight Zoey Van Goey - The Cage Was Unlocked All Along Elephant - In The Moon
The last three, I probably listen to them daily. The rest, they are losing steam. I probably listen to 5-10 albums a day, just because my job involves sitting at the computer for 8 hours constant....so I get tired of stuff fast. Like Belle & Sebastian, I just went through a phase where I was listening to almost them exclusively for a week... and now, I probably won't again for ages.

| It's been, I don't know, a month now. Thought I should update my "listening to right now" list. Been feeling kind of musically awkward lately and I've been latching onto anything new to listen to.
0. The Love Language. Over and over and over and over again. 1. Teenage Fanclub - Shadows 2. Broken Bells. Though much less of them lately. 3. The Shins - Chutes Too Narrow. Like BB, much less of them this week than in the last couple. 4. 20th century B&S. A specific playlist I built that mixes tracks from the first 4 albums together, though most of it is Peasant + Arab Strap. 5. All the Go Away Birds EP's. Though not ZVG or Elephant anymore. 6. The Concretes - Self titled LP and In Colour. Weird story about how I started listening to them again. Had this dream where I met Victoria Bergsman. Weeks later, I don't remember the details anymore, but it got me to start listening to The Concretes. Though not Taken By Trees... 7. Kate Nash - Made of Bricks, My Best Friend Is You. Ok so some of her stuff is kinda rough (content wise, not musically - just don't play it with the kiddies around), but her incredibly thick accent and popish anti-folk sound is addictive. 8. Early David Bowie, mostly Hunky Dory. 9. And a few albums get spun when I'm tired of listening to 0 through 8, but have pretty much taken back-burner. Like The Clientele, Camera Obscura, Isobel Campbel, you know...that sort of lot.
I'll tell you one band I keep trying to get into but can't for the life of me: Guided by Voices. There was one song played at the end of an IT Crowd episode that I really loved, but the rest I've listened to...just can't not hate it. If there are any fans here, sorry.
Also I tried Richard Hawley, his first two albums. I didn't hate him, but I wasn't exactly blown away either. Only gave him one spin.

BRILLIANT idea! I have a "man-den" that i've been framing some of the better concert posters i've been to and a few full size posters from my brother-in-laws work. I like EG enough to pop one up even tho i've not seen them live... yet.. soo, i will also do a nice scan at work and get myself an un-creased poster! perfecto!
