Just a sec folks...

Ok you may notice the forum looks ugly right now. I'm working on it to integrate the new style...which requires some ugliness in the process. Give me a few minutes...or hours...and we'll be looking at a pretty new forum.

Ok, I'm done messing around for now. Obviously there are still some issues with the new layout, most of which have to do with the site being much less wide... I am going to fix that... In the mean time, thanks for bearing with me.

hmm i`m not so sure....i trust pauls judgement like..so we`ll see...i am used to the old look...but we`ll suck it and see.....

the fonts look all wonky and there are little annoyances ... like the "new post" form looks like shite. but i will fix it. yessir. one of the things i probably wont change is the colors. the higher contrast text makes it easier to read for us folks who have inch thick pieces of glass stuck to our faces.

Also all the graphical buttons and icons have disappeared. they will come back. hopefully.

Bit wider would be nice yeh. You'll get used to it Graeme ... its just resistance to change mate ... its an age issue

Going to add another column of photos to the head (Christian you don't mind if I use one or two of yours??) which'll make the site a few pixels larger than the old version. Breathin' room.

lol, the header image photos, those are blurry on purpose. its hard to notice, but the photos actually get progressively blurrier the father it gets from the letter O/camera lens... (same effect happens going between b&w to color)
i'm not sure i love it myself. might change the effect to something else when i widen things.

it was a play on words..of course...nice one paul you`ll bang it into shape i`m sure..........

Actually I was just looking at the memberlist today, I counted around 10 that had logged in today, and a further 10 within the past week - I'm sure thats a significant stat I suspect that CO fans are just a bit shy - like me Nah I suppose some folk just don't like postin'. Theres a few new peeps that had been postin' quite regular - TALTG's had some good stuff to say for example but has gone AWOL - one of the top 10 posters Btw.

I'll email TAC and ask her to do a bit more promotion of the forum

yeh, so the colour contrast has been sorted, but now we all have to get contact lenses to see the photos clearly !!

I didn't really pay that much attention, but on looking at it a bit more closely, think it would better sharpened up - we don't want anyone thinking this is a bunch of amateurs on here - right Paul, put your glasses on for the next fix.

me too - took a bit to grow on me (i'm slow sometimes with change) but i do like it... still wish there was a way to search the posts.. ie: searched for clientele and got nuthin even tho i know we posted stuff about em..

the search problem is a bug in the forumotion software that i dont have access to fix. i'm suprised the developers haven't done it themselves yet... annoying to say the least

Ah, this looks very good! I actually had to get new lenses the other week as the new ones I just got were so thick that they were irritating my eyebrows. They needed to be reset in the frames so that they stick out. For some reason people tend to want to try on my glasses, I assume to see what it is like with bad vision. It usually results in giving them an instant headache.

yeah i have that problem as well. so i stopped hanging out with people that have unaugmented vision.... hahah

i've always worn wire rim glasses and so the glass would stick out 1/8-1/4" - now i wear these huge elvis costello style plastic frames and they fit pretty flush. i look like a nerd but at least i'm being true to myself!

gotta love when a conversation devolves into eyewear.
