Join the little party Christian :-) I found out about CO through a dear friend of mine named Don while I was living in NYC. I was going through a very tough time in my life and he told me to watch a video, and it was the video for Llloyd, I'm Ready to be Heartbroken. My eyes, ears, and heart absolutely connected with the video and the sound of the band. I ended up getting the album it came from, and it helped me through a very difficult place in my life in a way I hadn't expected. The combination of sad lyrics, with that gorgeous voice and melodies...I can't put my finger on exactly what it did, but it let me understand my sadness from a different point of view. Ever since then, I've been hooked. Then My Maudelin Career came out, and I fell in love with them even more. Honey in the Sun even inspired me to make a video...as a tribute to my boyfriend. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83HPku0u3vY The song captured exactly how he made me feel. How he has this incredible ability to help mend a lot of the hurt and the pain I've experienced in my life. So, despite being unemployed and having absolutely no money, I found a way to nab tickets for their headline show here in SF. We got to the venue early and ended up front row center. RE: the setlist, I honestly couldn't tell you the exact setlist, but here is what the setlist *did* include to the best of my recollection. Main setlist: My Maudelin Career Swans Lloyd I'm Ready to be Heartboken Let's Get Out of this Country If Looks Could Kill French Navy The Sweetest Thing James The World is Full of Strangers Encores: Tears for Affairs Razzle Dazzle Rose My guess is the setlist was something similar to the following one here: http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/camera-obscura/2010/haileys-denton-tx-5bd487d4.html

| Hey ! I've seen your youtube vid before !! At the time I remember thinking how creative it was and how happy it all looked. You seem in a good place now The setlists don't change that much Christian, but the real interest for me is when they bring up a wee gem from the past or an obscure track. I can't wait to hear "World is full.." live for example or "Keep it Clean" or/and especially "I love my Jean" | |

The setlists don't change that much Christian, but the real interest for me is when they bring up a wee gem from the past or an obscure track. I can't wait to hear "World is full.." live for example or "Keep it Clean" or/and especially "I love my Jean" OMG, when I heard World if Full of Strangers, I almost died. But I think the one that gave me goosebumps was probably Razze Dazzle Rose. To hear it live...those horns...her voice...it was just absolute magic. The whole show was magic. It was humorous when they finished up Tears for Affairs (it was an encore, requested by the crowd) and they said they didn't really like the song, but they did it anyway for us. It's such a pretty song...wonder why they don't like it. Maybe they've done it too many times. I had no idea you'd already seen the video. Wow. I am honored, thank you!!!! Well, still unemployed, but hangin' in there as best as I can.
