Guys, thanks a bunch :-) Love our Wee Forum, been watching, just havn't had anything to offer of late. Been watching Tony/Pauls discussion re new bands etc.

Maybe because, I've done something really fooking Brave or really fookin' stupid, but I've jacked in my job and Me and M are planning a RTW backpacking trip.

So far, because our 24 y.o daughter is in OZ ( Do the Math ! ) and studying for a further 2/3 years, we have decided to rent out our home, do 8/9 months in Asia bagpacking, perhaps Latin America ie. Peru ( machuu pichuu ), and spend 2/3 years working and living in Oz.

Who Nows ?

All I know is, I'm buying the best Ipod I can feasibly get, downloading all my tunes, and heading off into the sunset, and plan to spend 2 months just walking the Great Wall of China, before heading to Thailand, Laos, Phillipines, Indonesia, Tibet, Nepal etc. then possibly Peru.

Pete. xx

Oh Yeh, and one of the Birfday Pressies, we're going to see Zoey Van Goey in Edinburgh, thanks to the Bolony :-)

@tonyboloney I must admit that I bought "The Cage Was Locked All Along" and haven't listened to it more than once, and at that, wasn't able to finish it.
But I was never able to finish Tigermilk through Fold Your Hands Child the first couple dozen times around, and I follow the same pattern often, so I will probably still love Zoey Van Goey some day. I think Michael John is an amazing guitarist, his work on The Go Away Birds reminds me of early James Taylor. I just received the one CD by his now defunct band, Elephant, in the mail today. Catherine Ireton sings lead, I could listen to that girl read the phone book and literally think it was the greatest thing on earth.

@Pete Wow! Sounds amazing. A mate of mine is going to do the backpack/hitchhike thing around Europe next year. The idea scares me half to death, you do NOT hitchhike in America. Not unless you want to be raped, robbed, murdered, and probably all three. ESPECIALLY if you are a woman, and well, she is. But your plan sounds slightly less crazy. You've got a plan, for one, are a couple, are probably not hitchhiking, and are not 23.
